I'd like to use and contribute if there is still active development.

Yes, it is currently under active development.  Here is the summary of the main changes since the last release:

  • Made it compile with .net 3.5
  • Added a dependency on WebDriver for the parsing logic (see AspNetResponse and HtmlElement)
  • Improved support for more form input types.
  • Added ability to communicate with the running ASP.NET application.
  • Added an extra method to register additional assemblies in the asp.net app domain. This will allow us to register stubs to be used in the tests only.
  • Converted the sample web site to a web application
  • Added Close method. (This eliminated an intermittent AppDomainUnloaded exception when running a test suite)
  • Moved Html specific logic to a separate assembly
  • Added support for file upload

We are planning to have a full IWebDriver implementation (similar to FirefoxWebDriver, ChromeWebDriver etc.) that sends requests through plasma.

We are planning to do a binary release asap, but currently you need to download the source code and build it yourself. We have provided a rake build file. The rake build can package up a binary-only release - just run rake plasma:package_release

Best regards,
